- Axton, VA. Ryan Smith travels to Far East. Ryan
Smith will be loading up his new KTM
to travel to Elizabeth City, with his dad, where
his plans on competing in this weekends races. Ryan says
he is looking forward to a chance to win his first
race...

 11/16/96 - Axton, VA.,
In June of this year Ryan Smith entered his first
motorcycle race. Since that time, Ryan has been racing
every weekend (see Racing results). Ryan comes from a
family of long time motorcycle racers. Ryan's
grandfather, Bob Bailey, has taken over the legendary
race track Lake Sugartree Motorcross Park,
in Axton, VA. Ryan spends most of his free time there,
practicing on his motorcycle. Ryan's uncle, Gary Bailey,
has been teaching motocross racing for many years and he
has taught some of the best, including Ryan's cousin,
David Bailey. |
